			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The news on the Regeneration and Renewal website is that junior minister Norman Baker has published plans to bring Nottingham Station into the 21st century.</p>
<p><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-26" title="train" src="http://www.inottingham.co.uk/nottingham-blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/train.jpg" alt="" width="200" height="140" />Costing over £6m, the plans involve the creating of a new retail space and the restoration of the Grade 2 listed buildings.</p>
<p>The venture, by Nottingham City Council, Network Rail and East Midlands Trains will generate about 900 jobs and will &#8220;&#8230;act as a catalyst for the regeneration of the Southside of the city and create many new job opportunities&#8221; says John Watson, Chairman of the Nottingham Hub project.</p>
